About the IMPACT Project

AE3 is proud to be the German partner in the Erasmus+ IMPACT Project, a Europe-wide initiative that connects remote professionals with rural social enterprises to drive meaningful social innovation.

The project addresses two major challenges:

1. Many rural communities face skills shortages and limited access to digital expertise.
2. Remote professionals often experience isolation and limited opportunities for civic engagement.

By bringing these two realities together, IMPACT transforms remote work into a catalyst for community development, skills exchange, and social cohesion across Europe.

Project Goals

IMPACT aims to:

• Bridge skills gaps by mapping the competencies of remote professionals and the needs of rural social enterprises.
• Reduce isolation by connecting remote professionals with meaningful local projects.
• Build capacity through a competency-based training model for remote professionals and social enterprises.
• Foster sustainable community impact with an AI-driven digital matchmaking platform and pilot projects across five European countries.

Key Activities

• Work Package 2 – Methodology & Skills Mapping: AE3 coordinates German engagement, gathering insights from remote professionals and social enterprises to inform the training model and platform.
• Work Package 3 – Training & Capacity Building: Structured learning pathways will equip remote professionals with the skills to become community changemakers.
• Work Package 4 – Digital Matchmaking & Engagement Platform: A central hub connecting skills with community needs, designed to support up to 1,000 users and at least 100 pilot matches across Europe.
